Elster RABO
Elster's RABO is a rotary gas meter that operates on the positive displacement principle. This volumetric measurement principle ensures that measurement performance is independent of the installation setup, making these meters particularly suitable for compact measurement systems without extensive inlet sections. The instruments record gas volume under operating conditions and are certified for fiscal applications. The measuring mechanism consists of two rotating lobes with a rear cross-section, installed in a housing with separate inlet and outlet openings. The impellers are interconnected via synchronizing gears. During gas flow, the impellers rotate contactless and transport a precisely defined volume of gas to the outlet. Each full rotation of the system corresponds to a specific gas volume. The rotational movements are transmitted to the mechanical counter unit via a reduction gear and magnetic coupling. Calibration of the rotary gas meter is accomplished through a gear pair in the counter.
For applications with extremely low flow rates, the RABO Compact is available as a specialized version.
Electronic volume correction devices(EK) can be integrated for volume correction.
