Radiant heating

Radiant heat works on the same principle as solar heat: a heat flux(flux) directly heats all the surfaces it encounters. These surfaces then emit heat themselves. The air in the room heats up only secondarily, via micro-convection around the heated materials.

Radiation thus directly heats all bodies, walls and objects in space. When radiation is emitted at a low temperature, it is referred to as "soft heat." This provides a quick and pleasant heat experience, which is perceived as very comfortable by those present.

Dark radiation tubes use infrared radiation to heat buildings efficiently. They consist of gas burners that, via fans, produce a flame inside a steel tube. This tube is heated to a temperature of 200 to 600 °C, causing the tube surface to emit infrared radiation.

Heat is directed to the desired areas using reflectors placed above and beside the tubes, with some types even thermally insulated for optimum efficiency. The flue gases produced during combustion are safely discharged to the outside through an exhaust system.

  • Gas-fired RADIANT TUBES - Solaronics HP
    • Power: 12 to 50 kW
    • Versions: 'U' shape or in line
    • Application: industrial and tertiary buildings
    • Suitable for large rooms with limited insulation and high air exchange rates
  • Gas-fired RADIANT TUBES - Solaronics HPR
    • Power: 12 to 36 kW
    • Versions: 'U' shape
    • Feature: higher performance than HP series
    • For industrial and tertiary buildings with large volumes, low insulation and significant air exchange
  • RADIANT TUBES IN NETWORK - Euroline
    • Network arrangement: gas-fired radiant tubes linked in system
    • Suitable for industrial and tertiary buildings with large volumes and high air changes
  • Gas-fired RADIANT TUBES - Rayline
    • Power: 61 to 330 kW
    • Versions: radiation pathways for large-scale applications
    • Application: large industrial halls, gymnasiums, garages, exhibition halls, large commercial spaces
As an alternative to gas-powered radiant tubes (when natural gas is not available or in buildings where gas use is not permitted), we offer hot water or steam-powered radiant panels from the "Ecopan" brand.
