Kromschröder's BCU 480 are advanced burner control systems that integrate essential components such as automatic burner control, ignition transformer, manual/automatic operating modes and status indications into a compact metal housing. Features and Benefits:

• Suitable for pilot burners and direct ignited industrial burners with unlimited power, in both intermittent and continuous operating modes. The burners can be modulating or stage controlled. Pilot and main burners can be monitored independently of each other
• Designed to be mounted in close proximity to the burner being monitored, simplifying system integration and reducing the load on the central furnace controller by taking over burner-specific tasks such as safely restarting after an interruption
• Optionally equipped with air and gas flow monitoring
• The interchangeable power module LM 400 is used to switch the outputs, e.g. actuators and valves, for controlling the burners
• Mains voltage: 230V-50/60Hz or 120V-50/60Hz
• Safety functions in accordance with EN 746-2 and EN 676, and meets SIL 3 standards (DIN EN 62061), corresponding to PL e (ISO EN 13849)
• All valid parameters are stored on an integrated parameter chip card. The parameter chip card can be removed from the old unit and inserted into a new BCU to transfer the parameters, for example when replacing the unit. In addition, parameters can be adjusted and read out using the PC software BCSoft via an optical interface
• Supports flame detection via UV sensors, ionization or alternatively by using the temperature in the furnace chamber
• Optional leak test system or a PROFINET bus communication module (BCM)
